Reycling with Newprint HRG
This page is to inform you of a significant advancement in our current sign manufacturing standards. As of Tuesday 25th of February 2020, Newprint HRG is proud to announce that all corflute products manufactured in our workshop are 100% recyclable.
With the addition of our new HP Latex R1000 series, direct-to-substrate printer, we are able to print direct to our corflute product with GreenGuard Gold and Ecologo certified inks. This means, with the help of our corflute supplier, we are able to fully recycle and re-use corflute product produced on our machine.
This is a significant advancement over other current technologies that require the use of high solvent inks, self adhesive vinyls or other, non-water based printing methods that result in corflute product contributing to landfill. The process requires that expired corflutes be delivered to our premises at 26 Off street for proper disposal. The expired corflutes are then processed and recycled in to a lower grade corflute product for re-use. As the specifications required to suit the recycling program are quite restrictive, we can only, at this stage, offer the recycling program to corflutes printed and manufactured by Newprint HRG.
We are always looking at ways to not only improve our product, but also lessen our impact on the environment. I’m sure you will agree that this is a prominent step towards achieving that goal.
Moving forward, on all eligible corflute products, our quotations will include the wording, ‘Printed on 100% recyclable corflute with GreenGuard Gold and Ecologo certified inks’ and we ask that you take this in to your consideration on a job by job basis, to help us achieve our goal of a more sustainable future.
If you would like any more information on this process, or the new printer capabilities, please feel free to contact our team on (07) 4972 3611.
